Levitra is a drug that works like Viagra for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. In its generic form it is known as Vardenafil.
Levitra comes in pill form and the ususal starting dose is 10 mg. It should be taken about one hour prior to sexual activity. As with Viagra, Levitra works when there is a state of sexual arousal. It will not produce an erection that you are not expecting. Of course, anything you experience that is outside the norm for you should be reported to your doctor.
Levitra lasts about four hours. It may be a little longer in some men but that is an average time frame. It is comparable with Viagra in this respect. Levitra is very similar to Viagra but may work faster and be more effective for some men for whom Viagra has failed Like Viagra, Levitra requires a doctor’s prescription and you need to tell your doctor of any other medications you may be taking, especially nitrates for chest pain.
